Here is a golden rule to follow regarding the length of the electronic book: write what is necessary to effectively educate your audience on your selected subject. If your ebook requires five pages, great! If it takes 30 pages, so be it. Don’t waste your words thinking you have to write a long ebook. Let’s move on now to the type of writing you are doing.

3. Break down each chapter as you write.
Get writing! Here, you can approach each chapter the way you might write a long blog post — by compartmentalizing each chapter into smaller sections or bullet points, as shown in the picture below. This helps you to write in a simple and clear way, instead of using fancy language to explain every point. This is the most effective way to educate readers and help them understand the new content you have to offer. Also, make sure you keep a consistent pattern in each chapter. This helps you establish a natural transition between each chapter so that there is a clear progression from chapter to chapter (only putting blogs together can take away this quality). To create a hyperlink between the ebook CTA (or any image or text in your ebook) and the destination URL, just go to Insert >> Hyperlink in PowerPoint. Now we don’t have a dedicated CTA slide in the PowerPoint ebook template…but it’s still easy! You just need to edit the header/sub-header slide and customize the copy or add images as required. You can also go to Insert >> New slide and work from there.

9. Convert it to PDF.

Once you’ve finished writing your ebook – CTA and all – it’s time to convert it to the correct file format, so it can be transferred from you to your recipient. To convert your ebook to PDF, click File >> Save As in the ebook format you opened. Then, under File type, select PDF and choose a location on your computer for this new file. Why can’t you just put what you have on the landing page and be done with it? Word documents, PowerPoints and similar templates are great for creating your ebook but not for uploading it. Because these templates are editable, the content of your ebook is easily damaged, distorted or even lost when you transfer your computer to the hands of your future prospects. This is where PDF comes in.
