Additionally, because lead generation is the primary goal of content marketing, eBooks are an essential part of a successful inbound marketing program. In this article, we will walk you through the ins and outs of creating an ebook by creating an ebook. And if you’re worried about your lack of design skills, we’ve got you covered. What file format should an ebook use?
Mail can be saved in one of several formats. Depending on your end user, however, you may find a use for one of the following file types:

PDF is probably the most popular file format. The extension “PDF” stands for “Print Document Format” and is best for e-books intended to be read on a computer (digital marketers, you’ll want to remember this). We’ll talk more about how to save your ebook as a PDF later in this article.

This file type stands for “Electronic Publication” and is a more flexible e-book format. By this, I mean that EPUB ebooks can “reflow” their text to fit different mobile devices and tablets, allowing the ebook text to move to different pages depending on the size of the user’s device. reading an ebook. They are especially useful for viewing on small screens, such as smartphones and Barnes and Noble’s Nook. MOBI
The MOBI format originates from the Mobipocket Reader software, which was purchased by Amazon in 2005 but closed in 2016. However, the MOBI file extension is still a popular e-book format compatible with major e-readers (outside the Nook) . Although the system has some limitations, such as not supporting audio or video, it supports DRM, which protects copyrighted material from being copied for illegal distribution or viewing.

It is an ebook file format designed for Kindle, an electronic reading device from Amazon. However, users can also open this file format on smartphones, tablets, and computers. ODF

IBA is a personal e-book version of Apple’s iBooks authoring software. This format supports video, audio, images and interactive content, but is only used for books written in iBooks. It is compatible with other readers.

Ebooks can increase your company’s visibility and credibility while positioning you as a thought leader in your industry. However, these ebooks can sometimes be difficult to write even though they offer many benefits. Here are some proven tips that will help you write a great ebook.

1. Choose a topic that fits your audience’s needs.
Remember: the purpose of your ebook is to create leads for your sales team. So, choose a topic that will make it easy for the prospect to go from downloading your ebook to having a conversation with your sales team. This means that your ebook should not differ from the topics you cover on other content distribution channels.

Instead, it’s your chance to dive deeper into a topic that you’ve covered a little bit, but your audience wants to know more about. For example, listening to sales and customer calls here at HubSpot, I’ve learned that creating ebooks is a big problem for our audience, who are salespeople themselves. So if I can provide not only this blog post, but also resources to make ebooks easy to create, I’m focusing on the right topics that will lead to sales conversations. Here are some examples of ebook titles to consider to spark your creativity.

For this blog post, I’ll be using two PowerPoint templates from a collection of five free ebooks. Through each section of this post, I will provide a side by side of the slide template and how I designed it.

Below you will find my customized cover and ebook topics related to my marketing. If you need help writing a compelling title for your ebook, check out the tips on this blog.

2. Annotate each chapter of your ebook.
How to Create an Ebook Your ebook introduction should set the stage for the book’s content and draw the reader in. What will you cover in your ebook? How will reading it benefit the reader? For tips on how to write an effective introduction, check out this article.

Some ebook creators say that an ebook is just a series of blog posts put together. While I believe you should treat each chapter as an individual blog post, the chapters in your ebook should also flow smoothly from one to the next.

The best way to describe your ebook is to think of it as a crash course on your chosen marketing-related topic. In my example of creating an ebook, I know I have to cover how:

Write an effective copy
Design an ebook
Optimize electronic books for lead generation and promotion
Although my example has a few chapters, keep in mind that your ebook does not need to be long.

Here is a golden rule to follow regarding the length of the electronic book: write what is necessary to effectively educate your audience on your selected subject. If your ebook requires five pages, great! If it takes 30 pages, so be it. Don’t waste your words thinking you have to write a long ebook. Let’s move on now to the type of writing you are doing.

3. Break down each chapter as you write.
Get writing! Here, you can approach each chapter the way you might write a long blog post — by compartmentalizing each chapter into smaller sections or bullet points, as shown in the picture below. This helps you to write in a simple and clear way, instead of using fancy language to explain every point. This is the most effective way to educate readers and help them understand the new content you have to offer. Also, make sure you keep a consistent pattern in each chapter. This helps you establish a natural transition between each chapter so that there is a clear progression from chapter to chapter (only putting blogs together can take away this quality). These actions should be integrated into all other marketing efforts, such as email marketing, creating calls to action, and landing pages. “Obviousness is persuasive,” said Dr. Flint McGlaughlin of MECLAB speaks frequently. Do you want to make sure that your ebook is interesting for readers? Here are some key tips to keep in mind:

Use keywords in the title that emphasize the value of your offer. Examples include adjectives such as “awesome”, “terrible”, or “the most”.
Keep your format consistent, to create a visual for readers and improve their understanding of the material.
Where appropriate, use formatting techniques – such as bulleted lists, bold text, fonts and font size changes – to draw people’s attention to your most important content or emphasize points you want readers to understand. remember.

4. Design your ebook.

Downloadable ebook templates are provided in both PowerPoint and InDesign. For this example, we will show you how to do it in PowerPoint because most people have access to this software. (If you want new strength, here are instructions for institutions and how to use PowerPoint.)

We only have one “head page” and model (three slide). To create another page, or in fact pages and scroll and select slide twice. This will make a copy of your slide and allow you to drag it into place in your ebook via the sidebar or Slide Sorter section of PowerPoint. You can then customize it for all subsequent chapters. 5. Use the right colors. Ideally, a free ebook template should match your brand colors. But maybe they don’t; this is where you can really customize your work. However, since ebooks allow more color than your logo or website, it’s a good idea to consider a second color in your color palette. Ebooks are where this color scheme can really shine. To learn how to add your brand colors to PowerPoint, check out this blog post. This way you can customize the color palette of our ebook templates to match your brand!

6. Add an image.
Photos and graphics in ebooks are difficult to access properly. The key to enable them to view them is to think about them as a person who is acting in your text. But you are putting them in time or when you write your e e e eusoik, your check will be used to express important things you do or make sense. Images shouldn’t be the only thing to make an ebook look good. Instead, they should be used to help the reader understand what you are studying. If you need help putting together an image, we have three free photos that can help you along the way:

And if you’re collecting data-rich ebooks, you can download our free data visualization ebook for tips on creating graphics and graphics for your content.

7. Cite a quote or figure.
Another way to enhance your ebook is to highlight quotations or figures in your design. Just make sure the quotes or figures you use actually add value to the content.

Whether you’re emphasizing or adding visuals, keep all of your content within the same range. If your copy is always spaced one inch to the left and right of your page, keep your design elements aligned in the same space.

8. Add the appropriate call to action in your ebook.

Now that your content is written and organized, it’s time to optimize it for lead generation, training and promotion. Think about how you got here – you clicked on a call to action (CTA) in an email, on social media, or elsewhere. A CTA is a link or visual element that prompts a visitor to click through to a landing page that will further engage with your business. How to Create an Ebook Since your ebook readers can be converted into a way to get their hands on your ebook, use your ebook CTA to convert your readers back and promote them further into your business.

For example, a CTA can lead to another offer, an annual conference registration page, or even a product page. Depending on the type of action that follows, the CTA can be an inline rectangle or a full page mock-up (see the two images below).

To create a hyperlink between the ebook CTA (or any image or text in your ebook) and the destination URL, just go to Insert >> Hyperlink in PowerPoint. We have prepared 50 customizable calls to work with PowerPoint that you can download and use in your ebook. You can retrieve them here. Now we don’t have a dedicated CTA slide in the PowerPoint ebook template…but it’s still easy! You just need to edit the header/sub-header slide and customize the copy or add images as required. You can also go to Insert >> New slide and work from there.

9. Convert it to PDF.

Once you’ve finished writing your ebook – CTA and all – it’s time to convert it to the correct file format, so it can be transferred from you to your recipient. To convert your ebook to PDF, click File >> Save As in the ebook format you opened. Then, under File type, select PDF and choose a location on your computer for this new file. Why can’t you just put what you have on the landing page and be done with it? Word documents, PowerPoints and similar templates are great for creating your ebook but not for uploading it. Because these templates are editable, the content of your ebook is easily damaged, distorted or even lost when you transfer your computer to the hands of your future prospects. This is where PDF comes in.

You’ve seen these characters at the end of files before. Short for Portable Document Format, the .PDF file format makes your ebook stand out so it can be displayed properly on any device. A popular alternative to PDFs is the .EPUB file type. See a comparison of EPUB to PDF here. 10. Create a dedicated landing page for your ebook. Your ebook must be available for download from a landing page on your site. A landing page is a web page that promotes/explains your offer and provides visitors with a form to fill out their contact information to receive your ebook. Here’s how you can turn your visitors into leads that your sales team can eventually follow.

For example, go to this landing page to get this ebook template. If you’re still not sure where to start, download this free ebook to learn more about optimizing your landing pages for conversion.

11. Promote your ebook and track its success.

Once your landing page is set, you can use this landing URL to promote your ebook across your marketing channels. Here are five ways to do it:

Advertise your new ebook on your website. For example, display a CTA or link on your offer’s landing page and your resource page or even on your homepage. Promote your ebook through your blog. For example, consider publishing excerpts from your ebook as a blog post. Or write a separate blog post on the same topic as your ebook, and link it to the end of your post with a call to action to encourage readers to keep reading. (Note: This blog post is a perfect example of how to promote an offer you create with a blog post.)
Send a segmented email to contacts who have expressed interest in receiving offers from your business. Take advantage of paid advertising and premium partnerships that will help you promote your ebook to a new audience.
Post social media posts with links to your ebook. You can also increase social sharing by creating social media buttons within your ebook, like the ones on the bottom right of this ebook.

Once your content is published and promoted across marketing channels, you’ll need market research to measure the success of your product in real life. For example, you should have a landing page survey that gives you insight into how many people download your ebook and convert into leads and a closed survey that shows how many of those people end up turning into leads and who – Lead customers to your business.

For example, have a landing page survey that gives you insight into how many people have downloaded your ebook or show how many of those downloads have converted into leads and customers for your business.

eBook Ideas
So what should you write about in your ebook? I’ll answer that question with another question: what do you want your readers to take away from this ebook? To find an ebook idea that’s right for your audience, consider the type of ebook you’re trying to create. These are some ideas.

New research
Guide experience or business examination? It’s a great way to develop personal knowledge and become a thought leader in your company. But how do you share your findings with interested parties? Create an eBook that explains the experiment, what you want to find out, the results of the experiment, and what those results mean to your readers and the market as a whole.

A case study
People love success stories, especially if those people are hesitant to buy from you. If you have a client you’re really proud of, why not tell their story in an ebook?

Ebook case studies show your customers and others who trust you and benefit from your product or service. In your ebook, explain what your client’s challenges are, how you connect with them, and how you can help your client solve their challenges and achieve success.

product presentation
The more complex your product, the better the information your customers will need to use it. If your product or service has many uses or is difficult to implement on its own, submit a short ebook to show people how to get the most out of it.

For example, in the first section of your ebook, you can explain how to launch your product or service. The second part can undermine the identity and purpose of your product that is best for it.

An interview
Interested in interviewing a celebrity in your industry? Perhaps you have been making the things that make it a man’s brief conversation. Treat this interview with ebook, which provides your customers to read and share in your

A “playbook” is a book that people can use when working on a new project or idea that is not their own. Think of it as a cheat sheet, full of tips and tricks to help your customers succeed at what they do. How to Create an Ebook When done right, a playbook gives your customers the information they need to be successful when using your product. For example, a software vendor for IT professionals can create a “virus protection document” that helps organizations prevent viruses for their business. Blog post strategy

Sometimes the best ebook for your business is already distributed within the framework of the blog. If you spent the last month writing articles on one topic for your business, imagine how those topics would look together? Every story can start a new chapter. Then, once the ebook is created, you can promote it on a landing page, link to that landing page from any blog, and create leads from readers who want to download the entire blog series at once. useful ebook. Ebook FAQ

Are ebooks profitable?

Yes, they can be. Ebooks are a valuable, affordable gift. This means that you will need to sell a lot of them at a relatively low price in order to compete in the market and make a big profit. According to your company, the electronic documents may be by more than $ 100.

Before placing the price for your ebook, do research. Find out who your target audience is, what they are willing to pay, and how many people in your target market might be willing to buy. Next, determine the platform on which to sell your ebook. Amazon? Apple Books? Your website? You can research how much ebooks usually go for on these sites and incorporate this insight into your pricing strategy.

How to organize an ebook?

There are no set rules for organizing your content in an ebook. It mimics the structure of a newspaper or textbook (depending on the topic you are writing about). But, you will be sure to stick to some parts of the ebook. E-books usually have a structure that is supported by chapters and images. Like blog posts, they also tend to divide their text into sub-headings that break the discussion into sections. How to Create an Ebook If you write about professional sports, for example, and one of your chapters is about Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States, you can create subchapters about different MLB teams.

What can the ebook say about it?

Nothing. Well, within reason. E-books are the only way for marketers to deliver a lot of important information in a format that their customers like to read.

For example, an environmental company can write an e-book about water conservation. They can also focus the ebook entirely on how well their product works or how it helped a customer solve a problem.

Research is an important part of creating ebooks, no matter what your ebook is about. Unlike short content like articles and videos, ebook content is built on credibility and evidence. A user who receives (or requests access to) your ebook needs the full story, not just the main points. This includes all the content and testing you did to create the ebook.

Can we publish an ebook? No.

How to Create an Ebook An ebook can’t be edited once it’s saved in one of the main file formats, so it’s best to make sure you have the editing version saved in a program like Microsoft Word. But why would you want your ebook to be unedited? Making an ebook uneditable ensures that the content doesn’t change – both format and information – as it is shared among multiple users. You can edit e-mail documents if they are saved using PDF file editing, a specific feature for Adobe Acrobat, the basic program of the PDF file format. Learn how to edit PDF files in this blog.
